First off I would like to thank `xbastex xbastex.deviantart.com/ for this awesome reference photo, Rescue Mission xbastex.deviantart.com/art/Res….

My last few drawings I have been messing around with ballpoint pen and decided to break out my Faber-Castell art pens for this one.

Tool: Faber-Castell art pens on smooth bristol.

I would also like to thank Paul-Shanghai paul-shanghai.deviantart.com/ for helping (or actually doing) this animation :sta.sh/09u45jtql1c

And lots of thanks to ^Astralseed astralseed.deviantart.com/ for featuring this silly little drawing as a DD! I'm humbled.

Having seen the original photo, I first want to say that you have portrayed this already powerful scene very well. I commend you for your skill.
This is a wonderful piece. As I said before, it is very powerful. The bird's eyes show so much emotion, and the impact on the viewer is phenomenal. The fear and insecurity that they reflect is just so (I need to stop using this word) powerful, while the hands around the animal show attempted security, saying indirectly to the poor creature, "You are safe. Everything is all right," in a way one might comfort their child.
Rant, rant, rant. Okay, for the actual critique, I have to say that I can't think of many cons in this piece of art. My only real con is that it is a drawing of a photo, which takes away from the originality a tiny bit, but saying too much on this would make me a hypocrite, because I also draw from photos. It isn't a big deal, and most definitely does not take away from the overall piece.
I'm going to try to stop saying "powerful", but that would be my one word summary of your drawing. Your strongest category would have to be impact, as the impact upon the viewer is tremendous. Again, the bird's eyes and the hands around it portray the most emotion, fear and comfort. It would be safe to say that this piece is one of the most amazing examples of impact.
Overall, I would give this a five. My brain doesn't average things. But even so, it is absolutely wonderful. I think you should keep up the great work. And maybe I should stop blabbing.
What do you think?

0___0 That's so incredible my brain might have just exploded. I was freaking out for a few minutes about whether or not this was really not a photo before I could even get myself to comment.
