Daddy's Little Girl by ronmonroe Daddy's Little Girl by ronmonroe
This is my daughter Shellie, who will be attending college in the fall. It seems like only a few months ago I was pushing her in the swing at the park. No matter how old and beautiful she becomes, I will always see the little girl swinging in the park.

Hi Ron, This is your cousin Sandi ( Aunt Jessie). Give me a call on how to purchase your drawing.

I love it. I love the fact that you can see a face on the right side.

Thanks! I need a little practice with that. I might do something like this again with tigers or something.

I can say the same! I guess we will keep trying to improve for the rest of our natural life! If we had already reached perfection, there would be no more fun or challenge in doing what we do!

Shellie's portrait on the left is really nice, but I think her head shot on the right would be better without the trees and shrubs, just her face and hair as faded as you have her now. Or if you keep the trees maybe a smaller pic of you pushing her on a tree swing as you describe.

Yea, I agree. It was a meager attempt at a Bev Doolittle.

I never even heard of her before (I'm new at this art critic thing),but nothing a Google Image Search can't cure. If that's the direction you want, keep on keeping on. :)

She is amazing. I've liked her work for a long time now... and I know I'll never match her talent but I thought I would give it a try. Although this drawing didn't come out quite like I wanted it to, I probably will attempt it again some day (the hidden picture thing) Right now I'm working on something else pretty radical and I hope it works. I'm trying to make a pile of pennies look like Lincoln.... we will have to just wait and see.... lol
