This is my third attempt at color.... I'm pretty happy with it. I would like to thank *AnnemiekedW [link] for all her time and advice for this drawing. I used her drawing of her daughter Lisa as a color reference. [link]

Tools: prismacolor pencils

Here are a few wips:

I think maybe it could use a little less pink in the light spots, and make the overall rest of her skin a little lighter, less brown. Right now it sort of blends in with the color of her hair and contrasts oddly with the pink.

Sorry for the late reaction, as usual I'm very much behind on all my comments and other stuff here on dA - my own fault probably for uploading lots of things at the same time

Anyway :D this turned out really very well  and for a third attempt  Most of my first attempts have ended up in the paperbin  I really like the skin and although it's a lot darker than my drawing, it works really well (and Lisa is very very pale - half Scottish :-)) I think the hair looks really good too and I have to say you did pick quite a difficult photograph compared to mine : open mouth and therefore folds in the skin, whereas mine was relatively easy because Lisa had her mouth closed and was very smooth (but she has braces - that's why usually nowadays her mouth is always closed when there's a camera nearby :D)

I'm very much looking forward to your next coloured pencil drawing

I've heard if you do mini circles over and over again when coloring the skin it looks better and not streaky. Is that how you accomplished the skin? I'm looking for tips on how to get colored pencil drawings to not look streaky. Great job on this!

Thanks but I'm no expert in colored pencil. This was he first ime I used these prismacolored pencils. I did go over the drawing with a white pencil and it did smooth it out a lttle. I belive there are also some colorless blenders that should smooth it out as well.
