Willie Nelson to me is the best country, (or maybe best period) singer ever. After not drawing for over 20 years I decided I needed a hobby and pick my pencils back up. While looking for an image of Willie on google, I came across a pencil drawing of him, which lead me to Deviant! So I guess he's the reason I'm here at all!

You've done a great job with the detail and cross-hatching in this piece. When I saw it on the thumbnail view it looked almost like a photograph. I actually like it even better on larger view, since I can see more of you hand in it. It's got more character and texture than the average photo-realistic portrait. Nice work.

Thank you. It was fun but I didn't get it quite right. I free handed it completely and I was in a rush to finish it. I'm going to do Willie again when I get a little more pratice in.
